Geyser operates the geyser.ink platform, a service that automates the creation of promotional videos for video game studios using artificial intelligence. For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at support@geyser.ink.
We collect information you provide when you create an account, sign in, contact us, subscribe to a plan, or use the Geyser workspace.
We use information to provide the service, secure accounts, process payments, maintain your project and credit history, respond to support requests, and improve the video creation workflow.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand product performance, diagnose issues, and decide what to improve.
Geyser is based in Colombia, and the processing of personal data of users located in Colombia is governed primarily by Law 1581 of 2012. Under that law, processing generally requires the data subject’s prior, express, and informed authorization. By creating an account and accepting this Privacy Policy, you grant Geyser that authorization to process your account, project, billing, and support information as necessary to provide the service you request, manage your account, process payments, and deliver your generated videos, as well as to process security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, and reliability information as necessary to operate and protect the service.
We may also process information to comply with legal obligations, and we rely on your consent where specifically required, such as for optional cookies or similar technologies.
For users located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, where GDPR applies, we additionally rely on: performance of a contract (for account, project, billing, and support processing), our legitimate interest in protecting Geyser, preventing misuse, and maintaining service reliability (for security, fraud-prevention, and analytics processing), consent where applicable, and compliance with legal obligations.
Clips, scripts, and generated videos are used to provide the workspace features you request. Do not upload content you do not have rights to use, or content that includes unnecessary sensitive personal data.
Generation requests are processed by third-party infrastructure and artificial intelligence providers that help analyze clips, generate scripts, synthesize voice, and produce complementary audiovisual elements.
We do not use your clips, scripts, uploads, or generated videos to make legal or similarly significant automated decisions about you. Automated security and abuse-prevention checks may limit access, sign-up, or usage when they detect suspicious activity.
We retain account data while the account exists and the data is needed to provide the service, maintain billing and credits, secure the account, respond to support requests, prevent fraud or abuse, or meet legal obligations.
When an account with billing history is deleted by the user or by the Geyser team, the account enters a pending-deletion state for 30 days before its data is erased from the production database. Accounts without billing history may be erased immediately. Authorized Geyser staff may force the deletion of a pending account before the 30-day period ends.
When a project or video is deleted by the user or by the Geyser team, its data is erased from the production database. Deleted data may remain only in backup copies until those backups expire.
We retain database backups for 15 days.
We share information with providers that help us operate the service, including providers for: user authentication, payment processing and billing, file storage, database infrastructure, backend and frontend hosting, and artificial intelligence for clip analysis, script generation, voice synthesis, and complementary audiovisual content.
We use established, industry-recognized providers for each of these functions, and we may change any of them at any time. If a change materially affects how your data is processed, we will update this Policy and notify you as described in the “Changes to this Policy” section.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the service, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
We may engage independent contractors or external service providers to help develop, operate, or maintain the Platform. Where these contractors have technical access to infrastructure or data in order to perform that work, we require them to accept confidentiality and data-protection obligations reasonably equivalent to those set out in this Policy.
Geyser operates primarily under Colombian law, but some of our service providers may process information in other countries. Where required, we rely on legally recognized transfer mechanisms, such as contractual safeguards, adequacy decisions, or other safeguards accepted under applicable data protection law.
We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, account security, preferences, checkout, fraud prevention, analytics, and service reliability.
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, secure service providers, private account access, and operational logging. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and respond to issues that may affect the service.
Incident notification. If we detect a security incident that compromises personal data or User Content, we will notify affected users without undue delay, and we will inform the competent authority (in Colombia, the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce) when required by law.
Geyser is intended for users 13 years of age or older. Account and billing ownership must always belong to an adult (18 years or older) or to an entity or studio; minors may only use the platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and never as the holder of the account or payment method. The service is not intended for children under 13.
You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of your personal information. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw your consent where processing is based on it. Some data may be retained when necessary for security, legal, billing, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.
If you are located in Colombia, you may file a complaint with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), Delegate Office for Personal Data Protection. If you are located in the European Union, you may file a complaint with your country’s supervisory authority. If you are located in the United States, you may have additional rights under the data protection law applicable in your state of residence.
